  1. i guess they don’t show non-american movies in the usa…
    in case you’re interested, here’s the top10 by the Cahiers du Cinéma (most famous cinema review in France) – i see they have “Licorice Pizza”, which was released in january 2022 in France – i’m french and go along with most of these – but if you prefer “Top Gun” to “EO”, you may disapprove such ranking…

    1. I saw only a handful of international titles last year, but you’re right…it is typically tougher to find them than it is to find Hollywood movies. I personally wasn’t a fan of “EO,” or movies like it where one main character wanders from place to place encountering minor characters. Even tougher when the main character is non-human! I really like “Apollo 10 1/2,” but it fell just outside of my Top 10.
